Get learned!

To all you late bloomers, De La Soul's debut release: 3 Feet High & Rising was a definitive etch on hiphop leaving a mark that defined them as a dynamic all-out-rap group. This was of course during the Golden Era.

De La came through hard like Lee and Lady Pink (ya kno dem legends?), around the same time as the Jungle Brothers and Tribe (together the trio was The Native Tongues). I can't imagine what it must've been like in NYC when this album dropped. I'm sure stoops were buggin' off the music and heads were bobbin and weavin while the shorty was gettin' learned!

Just the artwork alone was off the wall for hiphop, De La was on this stay-fresh-while-not-giving-a-fuck-tip that illustrated their energy and lyricism. Anybody that likes hiphop, should listen to this album, in fact, they should own it, and know what's up. However, that's not always the case these days, so why not give a little back to the youngsters and remind the old school heads of a classic that really needs no introduction by me. 3 Feet High and Rising speaks for itself, now get learned!
