10th Anniversary of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas

This superb film was released May 22nd 1998 and i was fortunate to see it within a few weeks on the big screen. I don't want to go into a synopsis of the film - if you haven't seen it then you are asleep at the wheel - so redeem yourself by endulging in a bizarre journalistic drug-laden spectacle of just how far the mind, body and soul can endure while in search of The American Dream.

Based on the actual notes and stories of Hunter, Fear and Loathing was printed in Rolling Stone (my dad owns these originals!) as a two-part series under the alias Raoul Duke along with the infamous illustrations by Ralph Steadman. If you know me, you know how enthralled i am with HST, how inspirational he is to my writing and how i pursue Gonzo Journalism with an uncanny lust. With that being said, Hunter is a fuckin' G (see my previous post in Feb. reflecting on the anniversary of his life).

Me as HST and Socko Sam as a she, Halloween 05
