Carhartt is goin' urban

Carhartt Streetwear . . . what a joke!
What's with this brand these days? I thought only anarchist, loggers, and street kids wore this gear, but apparantly i am mistaken. It seems that the label is attacking "urban street gear heads" and pushing new lines toward this group of individuals. I still have yet to see a hipster wear a pair of black Carhartt jeans. They're pushing 2-tone colored windbreakers, sleek tees with exclusive logos, and even plaid, PLAID! And not long sleeved heavy wool plaid for Loggers to rock, no, these are short sleeved cotton plaids for summertime. It just seems awkward that this company is going after the street wear fetish, which to me, is a huge marketing gimmick many companies are seeking to capitalize on. I want to see Carhartt push heavy duty flannel jackets, or collabortate with Stihl on a logger tee.
Fuck this hip slick and cool shit, stay true to the lifestyle that reflects the lumberjacks. Why jump on the bandwagon and try to push "fresh styles" to kids and young adults. I myself am down with the itchy flannel, thick suspenders, heavy wool skull caps, double strenght leg denim, and rugged boots. I just think this shit is funny, see for yourself: Carhartt Streetwear
Support your local clothing companies, and be weary of what's taking place among the fashion industry, if you even care.
